     Arçelik is a firm owned by Koç conglomerate. According to 2008 statistics, Koç conglomerate is the largest industrial company in Turkey. Arçelik Inc. is also the market leader in Turkey`s durable goods sector and the company has been ranked third among the companies who produce house hold appliances in Europe (Arçelik Inc. and Koç Group Presentation, 2010).

     Arçelik Inc. produces household appliances and exports its products all over the world. In addition to the household appliances the company produces built in products, electronics, heating and cooling systems, and small appliances. The most demanding products of the company are refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, dishwashers, aspirators, vacuum cleaners, coffee makers and blenders. Arçelik Inc. exports products and services in more than 100 countries in the world and the company has 23,000 employees. Theyhave 14 different production facilities in five countries which areTurkey, Romania, Russia, China and South Africa. The company hasnine other brands and these brands are Beko, Grundig, Blomberg, ElektraBregenz, Arctic, Leisure, Flavel, Defy and Altus. According to 2012 data, net sales of Arçelik were 4.5 billion euro in Turkey, 6.1 billion euro in international sales and also Beko brand accomplished having the highest market share increase in 2012 among the Western Europe countries (Arçelik Inc., 2013).
